Comprehensive Travel Insurance with African Safaris Ltd

Comprehensive travel insurance is mandatory for all guests booking safaris through African Safaris Ltd. Prior to your trip, you’ll need to provide your travel insurance details, including the company name, contact information, and policy number.

Coverage Includes:

• Trip cancellation and interruption
• Travel delays
• Loss, theft, or damage to baggage
• Baggage delays
• Medical expenses
• Emergency medical transportation

Most comprehensive policies vary in price based on the total cost of your trip and your age.

When to Get Travel Insurance

We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance at the same time as booking your safari. This ensures maximum coverage, including protection for cancellations starting from the moment you book your trip, including your deposit.

Travel Insurance with Allianz Partners

Whether you’re traveling with friends or family, travel insurance can protect you against unforeseen incidents. Allianz Partners offers two international plan options:

1. The Essentials Plan: Restricted benefits with lower policy limits.
2. The Comprehensive Plan: Higher limits and extended benefits.

Standard Policy Features:

• Coverage for epidemic and pandemic diseases, including COVID-19
• Medical and repatriation expenses
• 24/7 emergency assistance
• Replacement cover for baggage less than two years old
• Coverage for dependent children under 21 at no extra charge
• Rental vehicle excess cover

Additional Options (Comprehensive Only):

• Increased cover for high-value items
• Coverage for pre-existing medical conditions (subject to assessment and additional premiums)

Note: Travel against the New Zealand Government’s advice or local government advisories at your destination is not covered. Lockdowns, changes in government alert levels, and mandatory isolation are also excluded.

Claims Process

To file a claim, you can:
