Join us for a workshop conducted frequently at Lincoln Park Zoo.
The zoo gives us unique opportunities that are extremely valuable when learning creative camera controls.
This safari begins with a 40-minute overview focused on how to compose and photograph sculpture and animals, how to work with different light sources and how to best capture motion in your photos. This overview will also cover what all those features on your camera do, especially the ones controlling F-stops, shutter speeds, white balance and ISO.
Following this overview, you will begin photographing animals and birds in different exhibits throughout the zoo in order to practice and solidify the concepts you learned by using your camera. Your guide will be by your side to critique your photos and ensure that you gain the knowledge to capture the moment in the way you envision capturing it.
This hands-on training will give you invaluable photo techniques for your future travels. So, before you go on that big trip, come see us first! Got a new camera and want to know how to use it? Help is right around the corner!
This three-hour safari meets rain or shine. Bring your camera and lenses; a tripod is not required, but you are welcome to bring one. All skill levels and cameras are invited!
